The fortuitous discovery in auction of some early 20th century glass plate negatives has uncovered a hitherto unknown photographic talent whom, as you will see, certainly borders on ‘the special’.

Research indicates the photographer to have been a one-time resident of an impressive East Anglian Manor House. His images of family, friends and surroundings reveal an exceptional talent for composition, subject and perspective, which must be evaluated in the knowledge that the technical development of photography was in its relative infancy.

The images possess the timeless flavour and appeal of the ART DECO period and have been produced in SEPIA to further enhance atmosphere.
